Advice - Fashion Looks 2008

This great shirt was a custom design Jacqueline made just for me when I was visiting her in New York. The purpose of my visit was to meet her, as we'd been corresponding by e-mail and through our blogs for almost a year, and to order some clothes, since I had decided to retire Jabba, my prosthesis, and go out in public as a one-breasted woman.The shirt is large, and with the loose cowl can be worn all sorts of ways. It is a variation of the white Comfy Cotton Summer Cowl that Jacqueline has in her slide show and also in her online store. As you can see from the photo, if you LOOK, you will notice that I don't have a right breast, but with the way the shirt drapes it is not obvious. I feel comfortable in public like this. See the Comfy Cotton Summer Cowl.Here's Jacqueline's description of the basic cowl: This incredibly comfortable T-cowl was created with two men's fruit-of-the-loom cotton T-shirts (size small). While it washes nicely, it shrinks a tad bit as with any cotton garment. This will fit women sizes small to medium and possibly large (of course getting more form fitting). I generally wear a size s/m and this men's small fits just right as it gracefully hangs slightly off of my shoulders in a care-free kind of way. I made myself one and I have been known to wear it four to five days straight... only to regrettably have to put it in the laundry bag. It is fabulous with a pair of jeans, comfy skirt or over a bathing suit. If you know how a men's T-shirt fits on you and you would prefer a different size I'll be thrilled to make one for you in the size of your choice--simply make a note to me after purchase. Custom orders will take me a few days (3-5) longer to ship.Note: Mine (Jeanne's) was made from a medium men's T-shirt, and I wear a M size (10-12) in misses' clothing. I'm going to wash it today for the first time, and I expect it will shrink a bit. Neck scarves are important fashion accessories and their versatility makes us flip for them even more. A simple neck scarf comes in a soup of fabrics, shapes and sizes. You can wear them in any season or for any occasion. They can and be a part of your professional attire or make you look chic in casuals. < / p>

While most people would wear one of these fashion accessories in cold countries to ward off the cold, it can be used to enhance your looks. They can be pledged around your neck in different fashions so you are not restricted to tying it just one way. < / p>

Some of the different ways of tying and wearing a neck scarf are given below: < / p>

• Faux Bow: This is excellent for wearing with open necklines. Use an oblong neck scarf and tie a knot ( a loose one ) and place the knot under your chin. Now cross the ends behind your neck and bring them to the front. After that place the ends of the scarf into the loose knot so that they go in opposite directions and then tighten the ends slightly. < / li> < / ul>

  • French Twist: This is ideal for a suit or jacket. All you have to do is fold the scarf lengthwise, wear it around your neck so that the ends are in front. Now wrap is around your neck so that the ends cross at the back of the neck and bring the ends to the front and pull. Tie a knot and then just twist the scarf to one side so that the knot is off - center. < / li>< / p>

  • Ascot Wrap: This is excellent for formal wear especially with collared shirts and blouses. This is similar to wearing a tie. Wear the scarf like a tie around your neck. Make sure that the left end of the neck scarf is longer< / a> than the right. Now take the left end over the right and push it through the loop so that it comes over the top. Neatly spread out the scarf. Open a couple of your shirt ' s top buttons and tuck the ends in so that just the spread out part of the scarf is visible. < / li>< / p>

  • Neck Drape: If your scarf is long enough, you can easily carry it off as a part of your evening wear. Just fold the scarf lengthwise into half and drape it elegantly over your neck or shoulders so that both ends of the scarf are in front. < / li>< / p>

  • Hacking Knot: This is a rather simple way of wearing your neck scarf< / a> but it look great on formal or casual attire. Fold the scarf into half lengthwise and place it around your neck. Take the ends and pass it through the center fold and slightly tighten it under your chin. You can twist it a little so that the center fold is slightly to one side and let the ends hang loose. < / li> < / ul>< / p>

    There are many other creative ways of tying a scarf around the neck. However, do not forget to accessorize your scarf still further with a scarf pin, brooch or a ring. You can make a fashion statement just by wearing a scarf in your own unique way. < / p>
